Solar Panels Arana Hills: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Arana Hills system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Arana Hills makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Arana Hills is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. We look after Arana Hills and the surrounding suburbs of Everton Hills, Keperra and Mitchelton, so a free on-site measure in 4054 is easy to book.

About Arana Hills
Frederick and Elizabeth Patrick bought the first land here in 1878, and for decades it stayed forest and small farms. In 1956 Willmore and Randell launched Camden Park, the first modern subdivision in the old Shire of Pine Rivers, and the modest prices sold blocks quickly. The Arana Hills name was gazetted in December 1962. It was thought to mean welcome, though it later turned out to mean the moon.
Part of the informal Hills District, the suburb backs onto Bunyaville Forest Reserve about 14 kilometres north-west of the city. Arana Hills Plaza, with Kmart and Coles, is the local shopping hub, and the council library on Cobbity Crescent has been there since 1976. Parks include Bandicoot Gully, Camden Park and Leslie Patrick Park. Severe storms in 2008 caused enough damage to bring out the SES.

Solar panels in Arana Hills: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Arana Hills?
Most Arana Hills homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Arana Hills?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Arana Hills?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Arana Hills 4054 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Arana Hills is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Everton Hills, Keperra, Mitchelton, Ferny Hills. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
