Why Everton Park homes choose RS Energy for solar panels

Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Everton Park quote starts with a free measure of your roof.

A typical 6.6kW system in Everton Park makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Everton Park is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning. Our solar panels work in Everton Park also covers neighbouring McDowall, Everton Hills and Mitchelton, all within about 2km.

Everton Park: a local snapshot

Pioneers William James and Ambrose McDowall called their home Everton, after the Liverpool suburb, and a later estate carried that name. In the 1890s the township here was Bunyaville. The school opened as Bunyaville State School in 1934 and was renamed Everton Park in 1954. A high school followed in 1961, and the library first opened in 1965 before moving to a new building in 2024.

Kedron Brook runs through this largely residential suburb, about 8 km north of the city. Around 10,100 people live here, and in 2011 more than a quarter lived in semi-detached or higher-density homes. There are a dozen parks, including John Tucker and Teralba, plus four schools. There is no big shopping centre within its borders, so locals use Brookside in Mitchelton.

How much does solar cost in Everton Park?

Most Everton Park homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Everton Park?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Everton Park?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Everton Park 4053 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Everton Park is part of our Brisbane Westside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in McDowall, Everton Hills, Mitchelton, Stafford Heights. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
