Solar panels in Auchenflower, installed properly
Tier 1 panels, proven inverters and a clean install from a team that answers the phone after the job is done.
Solar panels for Auchenflower, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Auchenflower homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Auchenflower makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Auchenflower is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Inner Brisbane is full of character: Queenslanders, workers cottages and townhouses on small lots in places like Paddington, West End, New Farm and Bulimba, where neat installs and careful panel layout matter. From Auchenflower to nearby Toowong and Milton, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Low-lying pockets of Auchenflower sit inside council flood mapping. Where it matters we mount inverters and batteries above the flood planning level and keep isolators easy to reach.
- Many Auchenflower homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Getting to know Auchenflower
Around 1880 Thomas McIlwraith named a rural estate here using a Gaelic phrase meaning field of flowers. Estates such as Torwood in 1887 and Drysllwyn in 1920 were sold off for housing, and trams ran along Milton Road between 1900 and 1962. Auchenflower was treated as part of Toowong from 1975, then regained its status as a suburb in its own right on 16 November 1986.
Hills and pockets of green space run down to the Brisbane River, where the Bicentennial Bikeway follows the bank. The Wesley Hospital on Coronation Drive is the best known landmark, and Auchenflower Stadium hosts basketball. A station on the Ipswich line serves commuters. Heritage places include Moorlands and the McIlwraith Croquet Club. Riverside streets went under during the January 2011 floods.

Solar panels in Auchenflower: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Auchenflower?
Most Auchenflower homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Auchenflower?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Auchenflower?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Auchenflower 4066 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Auchenflower is part of our Inner Brisbane service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Toowong, Milton, Paddington, West End. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
