Solar panels in Paddington, installed properly
Tier 1 panels, proven inverters and a clean install from a team that answers the phone after the job is done.
Solar panels for Paddington, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Paddington homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Paddington makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Paddington is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Inner Brisbane is full of character: Queenslanders, workers cottages and townhouses on small lots in places like Paddington, West End, New Farm and Bulimba, where neat installs and careful panel layout matter. From Paddington to nearby Milton and Petrie Terrace, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Many Paddington homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Getting to know Paddington
Turrbal people lived in this valley long before British settlers arrived in the 1850s and called it Ti-Tree Flats. Farmer B. Clay renamed it after his London birthplace, and his farm was carved up in 1864, five years after the first sale of 55 lots. A building boom hit in the 1880s, electric trams arrived in 1897, and neighbouring Rosalie was merged in during 1975.
Sitting in the foothills of Mount Coot-tha, Paddington is all peaks and gullies, with Ithaca Creek winding toward the river. Archibald's Hill is the high point, crowned by the 1927 water tower. Latrobe Terrace has the Paddington Antique Centre and Paddington Central. Government House is on Fernberg Road. Small blocks are filled with workers' cottages and Queenslanders under corrugated iron, about 4.6 km from the CBD.

Solar panels in Paddington: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Paddington?
Most Paddington homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Paddington?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Paddington?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Paddington 4064 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Paddington is part of our Inner Brisbane service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Milton, Petrie Terrace, Red Hill, Kelvin Grove. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
