Solar panels in Milton, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Milton homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Milton quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Milton makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Milton is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Inner Brisbane is full of character: Queenslanders, workers cottages and townhouses on small lots in places like Paddington, West End, New Farm and Bulimba, where neat installs and careful panel layout matter. Our solar panels work in Milton also covers neighbouring Paddington, Petrie Terrace and South Brisbane, all within about 1km.
- Low-lying pockets of Milton sit inside council flood mapping. Where it matters we mount inverters and batteries above the flood planning level and keep isolators easy to reach.
- Many Milton homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Milton: a local snapshot
Farming and grazing drew Europeans in the 1840s. Chemist Ambrose Eldridge named his Milton Farm after the poet John Milton, and the suburb followed. Milton State School opened in 1889. The Morrow biscuit factory, later Arnott's, ran from 1913 until it made way for apartments in 2004. Milton Courts hosted major tennis from 1915, and its site became Frew Park in 2014.
Big match crowds head to Lang Park, better known as Suncorp Stadium, and the Castlemaine Perkins brewery runs tours. Coronation Drive follows the river while Milton Road shadows the western rail line, with a station and a ferry wharf at the end of Park Road. Park Road itself is a café and restaurant strip. Land use is mixed, with offices, warehouses, light industry, shops and homes.

Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Milton?
Most Milton homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Milton?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Milton?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Milton 4064 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Milton is part of our Inner Brisbane service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Paddington, Petrie Terrace, South Brisbane, West End. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
