Solar panels for Berrinba, planned around your home

Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Berrinba homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.

A typical 6.6kW system in Berrinba makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Berrinba is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. From Berrinba to nearby Browns Plains and Karawatha, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.

Getting to know Berrinba

Brisbane City named Berrinba as one of its suburbs on 1 November 1971, and Berrinba East State School followed in January 1977. A deal to hand the area to Logan City was struck in 1979, yet the switch only took effect in January 1997. The name comes from an Aboriginal word meaning "towards the south".

The Logan Motorway cuts straight through, with industrial parks north of it and in the south, and houses sitting just below the motorway. Berrinba Wetlands is the standout: 120 hectares of man-made parkland along Scrubby Creek, with 8.5 km of walking and bike tracks and more than 400,000 native plants. The local primary school runs a special education program.

How much does solar cost in Berrinba?

Most Berrinba homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Berrinba?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Berrinba?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Berrinba 4117 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Berrinba is part of our Logan service area in the Logan City Council area, and we regularly work in Browns Plains, Karawatha, Drewvale, Heritage Park. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
