Solar Panels Stretton: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Stretton system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Stretton makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Stretton is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake. We look after Stretton and the surrounding suburbs of Calamvale, Karawatha and Runcorn, so a free on-site measure in 4116 is easy to book.

About Stretton
Governor Bowen set aside a Brisbane Agricultural Reserve in 1861 stretching from Eight Mile Plains to here, and settlers grew fruit, vegetables and poultry on it. A military map from 1922 showed only four houses. The suburb was gazetted in 1972 and named after George Stretton, a Browns Plains settler, postmaster and hotelier in the 1870s.
Hills dominate the north before the land flattens out to the south, where bush thickens next to Karawatha Forest and the Calamvale Creek wetlands. Stretton State College, opened in 2006, teaches from Prep to Year 12. Small local shops cover the basics, with Calamvale Village, Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown and Westfield Garden City a short drive away.

Solar panels in Stretton: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Stretton?
Most Stretton homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Stretton?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Stretton?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Stretton 4116 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Stretton is part of our Brisbane Southside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Calamvale, Karawatha, Runcorn, Sunnybank Hills. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
