Solar Panels Boronia Heights: local, honest, done right

Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Boronia Heights system around your roof, your shading and your bills.

A typical 6.6kW system in Boronia Heights makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Boronia Heights is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. We look after Boronia Heights and the surrounding suburbs of Forestdale, Hillcrest and Regents Park, so a free on-site measure in 4124 is easy to book.

About Boronia Heights

Boronia Heights takes its name from the first residential housing estate built in the area. Families arrived quickly enough that Boronia Heights State School opened in January 1990, and the suburb was gazetted in October 1991. By 2018 the school had 638 students and ran a special education program.

West of Park Ridge, the suburb has a large patch of bush in the Boronia Bushland Reserve, where scribbly gums shelter eastern grey kangaroos, bandicoots, goannas, possums and koalas. The reserve has walking tracks, barbecues and picnic spots. Homes surround the bushland, and the state primary school covers Prep to Year 6. High school students head to Park Ridge State High School.

How much does solar cost in Boronia Heights?

Most Boronia Heights homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Boronia Heights?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Boronia Heights?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Boronia Heights 4124 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Boronia Heights is part of our Logan service area in the Logan City Council area, and we regularly work in Forestdale, Hillcrest, Regents Park, Greenbank. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
