Solar panels in Forestdale, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Forestdale homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Forestdale quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Forestdale makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Forestdale is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. Our solar panels work in Forestdale also covers neighbouring Boronia Heights, Hillcrest and Greenbank, all within about 3km.

Forestdale: a local snapshot
Much of this land belonged to farmer and publican George Stretton in 1927, and nothing much happened until Paradise Road was cut as a dirt track in 1946. Farming started in the 1970s, most houses went up in the 1980s, and it split from Browns Plains as its own suburb in 1987. Developers chose the name, and plenty of streets carry Robin Hood characters.
Oxley Creek runs through from Greenbank toward Heathwood, and old sand extraction pits along it became Greenwood Lakes, a wetland with a big lake, boardwalk, viewing platform and picnic tables popular with bird watchers. The Brisbane to Sydney railway marks the eastern edge. There are no schools inside the suburb, so kids head to Browns Plains, Regents Park and Forest Lake.

Solar panels in Forestdale: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Forestdale?
Most Forestdale homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Forestdale?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Forestdale?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Forestdale 4118 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Forestdale is part of our Logan service area in the Logan City Council area, and we regularly work in Boronia Heights, Hillcrest, Greenbank, Larapinta. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
