Solar panels for Greenbank, planned around your home

Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Greenbank homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.

A typical 6.6kW system in Greenbank makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Greenbank is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. From Greenbank to nearby Forestdale and Boronia Heights, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.

  • Plenty of Greenbank properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Getting to know Greenbank

Europeans arrived in the 1840s, and by the 1880s people were dairying, farming and cutting timber. The area was first known as Teviot, but it later took the name of William Slack's cattle property, Greenbank. A provisional school opened in 1893, a railway came through in 1930, and a post office in the 1950s. A hotel on Teviot Road once served as a Cobb and Co changing station.

At 110.5 square kilometres, Greenbank is big and rural, with farmland around the edges and the forested Greenbank Military Range, which is Commonwealth heritage listed. A strip of creek and parkland runs from springs near Spring Mountain down to Karrawatha National Park. Butterfly Park and Greenwood Lakes are popular, and Greenbank Recreation Reserve hosts rugby league. Owner occupation was high, at 86 per cent in 2001.

How much does solar cost in Greenbank?

Most Greenbank homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Greenbank?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Greenbank?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Greenbank 4124 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Greenbank is part of our Logan service area in the Logan City Council area, and we regularly work in Forestdale, Boronia Heights, Hillcrest, Heathwood. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
