Solar Panels Calamvale: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Calamvale system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Calamvale makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Calamvale is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake. We look after Calamvale and the surrounding suburbs of Stretton, Algester and Parkinson, so a free on-site measure in 4116 is easy to book.

About Calamvale
Early settler and landowner James Calam built his family homestead on a rise at the top of Calam Road, and his name stuck long before the suburb was gazetted in 1972. In 1984 the family sold the homestead to the McGuires, who built the Calamvale Hotel. Real urban growth began in the early 1990s and rolled out in stages.
Calamvale Creek, part of Scrubby Creek, runs through the lower part of the suburb, flanked by the Golden Pond wetlands, two stormwater wetlands built in the late 1990s. There are three shopping centres, a police station and plenty of parks including Calamvale District Park. Calamvale Community College takes students from Prep to Year 12, and nine bus routes run through.

Solar panels in Calamvale: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Calamvale?
Most Calamvale homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Calamvale?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Calamvale?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Calamvale 4116 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Calamvale is part of our Brisbane Southside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Stretton, Algester, Parkinson, Sunnybank Hills. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
