Solar Panels Carina Heights: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Carina Heights system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Carina Heights makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Carina Heights is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake. We look after Carina Heights and the surrounding suburbs of Camp Hill, Carindale and Carina, so a free on-site measure in 4152 is easy to book.

About Carina Heights
Carina Heights was formally split away from Carina in 1975. Its name follows its neighbour, which in turn came from an 1850s Creek Road estate that Ebenezer Thorne named after his daughter, Kate Carina Thorne. Pine Mountain in the south was once quarried, and the old quarry site is now used for recycling asphalt. Beyond that, the suburb's story is mostly one of quiet residential growth on the hills.
Two high points shape the area: a 36 m hill in the north east and Pine Mountain at 106 m in the south. Whites Hill Reserve takes in the south west corner and carries on into Camp Hill. Belmont Private Hospital sits on the hilltop off Creek Road. There are about ten local parks but no schools inside the boundary, and the CBD is just over 10 km away.

Solar panels in Carina Heights: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Carina Heights?
Most Carina Heights homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Carina Heights?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Carina Heights?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Carina Heights 4152 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Carina Heights is part of our Brisbane Southside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Camp Hill, Carindale, Carina, Holland Park. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
