Going solar in Carina Heights
Brisbane's southside covers older post-war suburbs like Annerley, Moorooka and Holland Park, the busy family areas around Sunnybank, Mansfield and Carindale, and newer pockets at Pallara and Forest Lake.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Carina Heights is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Carina Heights: history and local area
Carina Heights was formally split away from Carina in 1975. Its name follows its neighbour, which in turn came from an 1850s Creek Road estate that Ebenezer Thorne named after his daughter, Kate Carina Thorne. Pine Mountain in the south was once quarried, and the old quarry site is now used for recycling asphalt. Beyond that, the suburb's story is mostly one of quiet residential growth on the hills.
Two high points shape the area: a 36 m hill in the north east and Pine Mountain at 106 m in the south. Whites Hill Reserve takes in the south west corner and carries on into Camp Hill. Belmont Private Hospital sits on the hilltop off Creek Road. There are about ten local parks but no schools inside the boundary, and the CBD is just over 10 km away.
Hillside blocks around Pine Mountain and Whites Hill Reserve can mean steep driveways, varied roof angles and tree shading, so panel layout and microinverters or optimisers are often worth weighing up here.
