Solar panels for Cashmere, planned around your home

Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Cashmere homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.

A typical 6.6kW system in Cashmere makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Cashmere is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. From Cashmere to nearby Joyner and Whiteside, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.

Getting to know Cashmere

James Cash, one of the early property owners in the area, is remembered in the suburb's name. Not much else is recorded about how Cashmere was first settled, but over time it became a large, spread-out part of the Pine Rivers district on the edge of the city, with much of its land shaped by the North Pine Dam and the reservoir behind it.

At 34.6 square kilometres, Cashmere is roomy for fewer than 5,000 people. Lake Samsonvale, held back by North Pine Dam on the North Pine River, runs along the northern boundary. Cashmere Village Shopping Centre covers day-to-day needs, and parks include Jan Sked Reserve, Ogle Park and One Mile Park. Kids travel to nearby suburbs for school, as there are none within the suburb.

How much does solar cost in Cashmere?

Most Cashmere homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Cashmere?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Cashmere?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Cashmere 4500 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Cashmere is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Joyner, Whiteside, Warner, Bray Park. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
