Solar Panels Whiteside: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Whiteside system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Whiteside makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Whiteside is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. We look after Whiteside and the surrounding suburbs of Joyner, Cashmere and Petrie, so a free on-site measure in 4503 is easy to book.

About Whiteside
Captain Frank Griffin arrived in 1843 as the district's first free settler, followed by his brothers John and William and, in 1845, his parents. Their cattle and sheep run, called Whiteside, covered 28 square miles on the northern bank of the North Pine River. The south western part was known as Harrison's Pocket and had its own school from 1876 to 1937.
Much of the old Harrison's Pocket now lies under the water of Lake Samsonvale, created by the North Pine Dam, which covers the southern and western parts of the locality. Dayboro Road marks the north eastern boundary. Two heritage listed buildings stand here, the North Pine Presbyterian Church and the North Pine Pumping Station. Students travel to Petrie, Dayboro or Bray Park.

Solar panels in Whiteside: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Whiteside?
Most Whiteside homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Whiteside?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Whiteside?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Whiteside 4503 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Whiteside is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Joyner, Cashmere, Petrie, Kurwongbah. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
