Solar panels for Kelvin Grove, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Kelvin Grove homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Kelvin Grove makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Kelvin Grove is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Inner Brisbane is full of character: Queenslanders, workers cottages and townhouses on small lots in places like Paddington, West End, New Farm and Bulimba, where neat installs and careful panel layout matter. From Kelvin Grove to nearby Red Hill and Paddington, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Many Kelvin Grove homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Solar panels in Kelvin Grove: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Kelvin Grove?
Most Kelvin Grove homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Kelvin Grove?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Kelvin Grove?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Kelvin Grove 4059 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Kelvin Grove is part of our Inner Brisbane service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Red Hill, Paddington, Petrie Terrace, Herston. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
