Solar Panels Ocean View: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Ocean View system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Ocean View makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Ocean View is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. We look after Ocean View and the surrounding suburbs of Greenstone, Corymbia and Wagtail Grove, so a free on-site measure in 4521 is easy to book.
- Plenty of Ocean View properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

About Ocean View
A school opened here in April 1922, using a building moved across from Armstrong Creek, and it served local families until 1963. The district has stayed small and rural since, with a volunteer fire brigade and a telephone exchange as its main pieces of public infrastructure. About 1,000 people called it home in 2021.
High on the Mount Mee range, roughly ten minutes up the hill from Dayboro, Ocean View is about as quiet as Brisbane's outer fringe gets. Mount Mee Road runs through the middle. The land is split into acreage, small farms and a few winery estates spread over nearly 40 square kilometres. There are no schools or shops within the locality, so residents head down the range for both.

Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Ocean View?
Most Ocean View homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Ocean View?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Ocean View?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Ocean View 4521 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Ocean View is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Greenstone, Corymbia, Wagtail Grove, Waraba. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
