Ocean View is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
- Plenty of Ocean View properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Ocean View: history and local area
A school opened here in April 1922, using a building moved across from Armstrong Creek, and it served local families until 1963. The district has stayed small and rural since, with a volunteer fire brigade and a telephone exchange as its main pieces of public infrastructure. About 1,000 people called it home in 2021.
High on the Mount Mee range, roughly ten minutes up the hill from Dayboro, Ocean View is about as quiet as Brisbane's outer fringe gets. Mount Mee Road runs through the middle. The land is split into acreage, small farms and a few winery estates spread over nearly 40 square kilometres. There are no schools or shops within the locality, so residents head down the range for both.
Acreage on the range is a long way from town, so pairing a ground mounted array with a battery gives backup during outages, as long as trees on surrounding slopes are checked for shading.
