Solar panels for Samford Valley, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Samford Valley homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Samford Valley makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Samford Valley is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. From Samford Valley to nearby Samford Village and Ferny Hills, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Plenty of Samford Valley properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Getting to know Samford Valley
Until 1981 this was all just Samford. That year the old locality was divided in two, with Samford Village keeping the town and Samford Valley taking the surrounding land to the west, north and east. The valley has stayed largely rural since, and locals run their own volunteer support group, the Samford Support Network.
The South Pine River rises on Mount Nebo and flows east through Highvale into the valley. To the north the land climbs into the House Mountain Range, where ridges reach about 370 metres and remain mostly undeveloped. The valley floor drops to around 50 metres, and that is where most homes are, on large rural residential blocks. Kids go to Samford State School in the village or to Ferny Grove for high school.

Solar panels in Samford Valley: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Samford Valley?
Most Samford Valley homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Samford Valley?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Samford Valley?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
