Solar panels in Samford Village, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Samford Village homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Samford Village quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Samford Village makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Samford Village is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. Our solar panels work in Samford Village also covers neighbouring Samford Valley, Ferny Hills and Bunya, all within about 5km.
- Plenty of Samford Village properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Samford Village: a local snapshot
The village became a locality in its own right in 1981, when the original Samford district was split and the surrounding rural land went to Samford Valley. That left the town centre as its own small patch. Community buildings like the Farmers Hall and the Country Women's Association hall on Main Street remain part of village life.
Covering just 1.4 square kilometres, Samford Village is mostly taken up by the town itself, with Samford Valley wrapping around it. About 820 people lived here at the last census. The big drawcard for families is Samford State School, which had around 850 students and 61 teachers in 2018. High schoolers travel south east to Ferny Grove.

Solar panels in Samford Village: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Samford Village?
Most Samford Village homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Samford Village?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Samford Village?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Samford Village 4520 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Samford Village is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Samford Valley, Ferny Hills, Bunya, Ferny Grove. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
