Solar panels in Sandstone Point, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Sandstone Point homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Sandstone Point quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Sandstone Point makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Sandstone Point is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. Our solar panels work in Sandstone Point also covers neighbouring Bongaree, Bellara and Banksia Beach, all within about 4km.
- Being close to the water, Sandstone Point gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.

Sandstone Point: a local snapshot
This is Ningy Ningy country, and a bora ring south of Bestman Road shows that up to 2,000 Aboriginal people once gathered here for ceremonies. The area went by Toorbul Point before its current name. During World War II it hosted an allied amphibious training base. Today it has grown into one of the busier new residential areas on the mainland side of the Bribie bridge.
Surrounded on three sides by water, with Pumicestone Channel to the west, Deception Bay to the south and Moreton Bay beyond, Sandstone Point includes Godwin Beach and the old Turners Camp Island. Spinnaker Sound Marina and the Kal Ma Kuta Drive ramp keep boaties happy. The Village shopping centre, with an IGA, and the Sandstone Point Hotel are the main gathering spots.

Solar panels in Sandstone Point: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Sandstone Point?
Most Sandstone Point homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Sandstone Point?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Sandstone Point?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them. Near the coast we use stainless fixings and corrosion-resistant racking.
Do you service Sandstone Point 4511 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Sandstone Point is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Bongaree, Bellara, Banksia Beach, Ningi. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
