Solar panels in Bongaree, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Bongaree homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Bongaree quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Bongaree makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Bongaree is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. Our solar panels work in Bongaree also covers neighbouring Bellara, Sandstone Point and Banksia Beach, all within about 4km.
- Being close to the water, Bongaree gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.

Bongaree: a local snapshot
Bongaree honours Bungaree, the Aboriginal explorer who sailed with Matthew Flinders. A school ran at the island's Aboriginal mission in 1891, and the provisional school that opened in 1924 became a state school a year later. Churches followed through the 1920s to 1940s. The 1963 bridge, tolled until 1975, brought steady growth, with a library in 1976 and the high school in 1989.
On the island's south western corner, Bongaree looks across Pumicestone Passage to the mainland and is linked to Sandstone Point by the bridge. The jetty is the classic spot for fishing and sunsets. Buckleys Hole Conservation Park, about 88 hectares of lagoon, woodland and beach, draws bushwalkers and anglers. Both of Bribie's state schools are here, along with the library and the Seaside Museum, opened in 2010.

Solar panels in Bongaree: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Bongaree?
Most Bongaree homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Bongaree?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Bongaree?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them. Near the coast we use stainless fixings and corrosion-resistant racking.
Do you service Bongaree 4507 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Bongaree is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Bellara, Sandstone Point, Banksia Beach, Woorim. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
