Solar panels in Stokers Siding, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Stokers Siding homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Stokers Siding quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Stokers Siding makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Stokers Siding is on Essential Energy's network, so your system is designed to Essential Energy's connection rules (typically a 5kW export limit) and NSW feed-in tariffs. We handle the network application for you.
The Tweed runs from the border at Tweed Heads down the coast to Pottsville and inland along the river to Murwillumbah and Uki, a mix of beach houses, river-flat towns and hinterland acreage. Our solar panels work in Stokers Siding also covers neighbouring Dunbible, South Murwillumbah and Uki, all within about 7km.
- Plenty of Stokers Siding properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Stokers Siding: a local snapshot
Joseph Stoker bought 600 acres here in 1882, when the area was still known as Dunbible Creek, after the Robertson Land Acts had opened up NSW farmland. The village was first called Dunbible Siding and later renamed in his honour. It grew once the railway to Murwillumbah arrived, but the station closed in 1974 amid state budget cuts.
Stokers Siding sits near the Burringbar Range, with Mount Warning not far away. The Northern Rivers Rail Trail now passes through the village, and the area is known for its strong arts community. At the 2016 census it had 663 residents. It falls within the Tweed state electorate and the federal Division of Richmond.

Solar panels in Stokers Siding: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Stokers Siding?
Most Stokers Siding homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Stokers Siding?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Essential Energy export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Stokers Siding?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Stokers Siding 2484 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Stokers Siding is part of our Tweed Heads & Tweed Coast service area in the Tweed Shire Council area, and we regularly work in Dunbible, South Murwillumbah, Uki, Burringbar. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
