Solar panels in Tanah Merah, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Tanah Merah homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Tanah Merah quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Tanah Merah makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Tanah Merah is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. Our solar panels work in Tanah Merah also covers neighbouring Loganholme, Bethania and Meadowbrook, all within about 3km.

Tanah Merah: a local snapshot
Tanah Merah was first counted as part of Slacks Creek. The McBride family, who had come to Brisbane from Penang in Malaysia, bought the land and gave it its name, and the Place Names Board made it official in 1971. The biggest change came between 2001 and 2006, when land west of Drews Road was turned into a housing estate and the population grew sharply.
Set on a hill with a northern spur, Tanah Merah looks down over the north bank of the Logan River. Murray's Road is home to the largest known stand of the rare Austromyrtus gonoclada tree, with fewer than 300 known anywhere. Tansey Park has a sports oval and a council boat ramp, and the local shopping plaza sits at Sambit Street and Tansey Drive. Schools are in Loganholme and Shailer Park.

Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Tanah Merah?
Most Tanah Merah homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Tanah Merah?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Tanah Merah?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Tanah Merah 4128 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Tanah Merah is part of our Logan service area in the Logan City Council area, and we regularly work in Loganholme, Bethania, Meadowbrook, Edens Landing. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
