Solar panels in Shailer Park, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Shailer Park homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Shailer Park quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Shailer Park makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Shailer Park is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. Our solar panels work in Shailer Park also covers neighbouring Cornubia, Tanah Merah and Daisy Hill, all within about 3km.

Shailer Park: a local snapshot
Francis and Catherine Shailer arrived in 1866, and the couple later ran the first citrus orchard in southern Queensland. Local farmers tried cotton first, then sugar. The Kimberley Park estate was developed in 1973, and the Shailer name was attached to the area as a district in 1971 before it became a suburb in 1991. Logan Hyperdome opened in 1989 on the old Wild Waters site.
Shailer Park is hilly, stretching from the Pacific Motorway up to forest and bushland in the north, with Kimberley Park making up the north-east corner. It is mainly a middle-class residential suburb. Logan Hyperdome is the regional shopping centre, with the bus station and a library that opened in 1998. Three schools serve local families: Shailer Park State High, Shailer Park State School and Kimberley Park State School.

Solar panels in Shailer Park: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Shailer Park?
Most Shailer Park homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Shailer Park?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Shailer Park?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Shailer Park 4128 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Shailer Park is part of our Logan service area in the Logan City Council area, and we regularly work in Cornubia, Tanah Merah, Daisy Hill, Meadowbrook. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
