Going solar in Teneriffe
Inner Brisbane is full of character: Queenslanders, workers cottages and townhouses on small lots in places like Paddington, West End, New Farm and Bulimba, where neat installs and careful panel layout matter.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
Teneriffe is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Teneriffe: history and local area
James Gibbon named his property after the Tenerife peak in the Canary Islands, which the local hill reminded him of. Land near Teneriffe House was cut into 30 lots in 1890. The first wool store opened in 1909 and the riverside wharves became Australia's largest submarine base in World War II. Teneriffe was swallowed by Newstead in 1975 before getting its own name back in 2010.
Less than one square kilometre in size, Teneriffe sits on the Brisbane River with Teneriffe Hill rising to 45 m. The big woolstores and old factories have been turned into apartments, making it mostly high density, while many Queenslanders have been restored. CityCat and cross river ferries stop at the wharf, and the Teneriffe Festival drew about 50,000 people in 2017.
Converted woolstores often have broad roofs that can host shared solar for residents, while restored Queenslanders on Teneriffe Hill can take panels if they are placed with heritage character in mind.
