Solar Panels Upper Coomera: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Upper Coomera system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Upper Coomera makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Upper Coomera is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
The northern Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing parts of Queensland, from the canals of Runaway Bay and Hope Island to new estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau and semi-rural blocks around Wongawallan. We look after Upper Coomera and the surrounding suburbs of Oxenford, Willow Vale and Wongawallan, so a free on-site measure in 4209 is easy to book.
- Newer homes in Upper Coomera usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

About Upper Coomera
Surveyors marked out land along the Coomera River in 1864, setting aside 15,000 acres for farming, and William Alfred Binstead took up the first block near a river ford in 1865. The Otmoor plantation made the district's first refined sugar in 1870. A cemetery followed in 1885, an Anglican church in 1889 and a School of Arts in 1896. The Coomera name traces to kumera, a Yugambeh word for a wattle.
Once farm country, Upper Coomera is now heavily built up, with large housing estates and commercial centres west of the Pacific Motorway. More than 27,000 people lived here in 2021. Shopping is spread across Coomera City Centre, Coomera Grand and The Hub, and the community centre opened in 2013 with a pool and library. Schools include Upper Coomera State College and Coomera Anglican College.

Solar panels in Upper Coomera: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Upper Coomera?
Most Upper Coomera homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Upper Coomera?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Upper Coomera?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Upper Coomera 4209 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Upper Coomera is part of our Northern Gold Coast service area in the City of Gold Coast area, and we regularly work in Oxenford, Willow Vale, Wongawallan, Maudsland. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
