Solar Panels Guanaba: local, honest, done right

Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Guanaba system around your roof, your shading and your bills.

A typical 6.6kW system in Guanaba makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Guanaba is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

The northern Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing parts of Queensland, from the canals of Runaway Bay and Hope Island to new estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau and semi-rural blocks around Wongawallan. We look after Guanaba and the surrounding suburbs of Maudsland, Wongawallan and Mount Nathan, so a free on-site measure in 4210 is easy to book.

  • Plenty of Guanaba properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

About Guanaba

A small state school opened here around 1930 in a building carted over from Carrara State School, though it only lasted until about 1942. In 1974 Guanaba became home to the first polo club on the Gold Coast, and that property was sold in 2019 to become a private luxury resort. Film buffs may know that a set for the fictional town of Ambrose was built off Hollindale Road in 2005 for House of Wax.

Guanaba is semi-rural, with small acreage blocks and a strong horse-riding community. The Coomera River runs along the eastern edge, and a western section falls within Tamborine National Park. With 852 residents spread over 22.1 square kilometres, it stays quiet and spacious. There is no school in the locality, so families head to neighbouring areas for classes, shops and services.

How much does solar cost in Guanaba?

Most Guanaba homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Guanaba?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Guanaba?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Guanaba 4210 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Guanaba is part of our Northern Gold Coast service area in the City of Gold Coast area, and we regularly work in Maudsland, Wongawallan, Mount Nathan, Clagiraba. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
