Solar panels for Coomera, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Coomera homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Coomera makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Coomera is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
The northern Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing parts of Queensland, from the canals of Runaway Bay and Hope Island to new estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau and semi-rural blocks around Wongawallan. From Coomera to nearby Sanctuary Cove and Hope Island, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Newer homes in Coomera usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Getting to know Coomera
The suburb takes its name from the Coomera River, which comes from an Indigenous word for a type of wattle. A provisional school started in 1873 and a Wesleyan Methodist church in 1874, and the river was bridged in 1930. Dreamworld opened in 1981, while Koala Town wildlife park came and went before its site was turned into housing. Westfield Coomera arrived in 2018.
Coomera sits beside the Pacific Motorway with the Coomera River on its southern edge, just in from the hinterland. Dreamworld and Westfield Coomera draw visitors, and the Coomera Sport and Leisure Centre hosted gymnastics and netball finals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Several schools have opened since 2011, including Picnic Creek State School, St Joseph's College and Foxwell State Secondary College.

Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Coomera?
Most Coomera homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Coomera?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Coomera?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Coomera 4209 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Coomera is part of our Northern Gold Coast service area in the City of Gold Coast area, and we regularly work in Sanctuary Cove, Hope Island, Pimpama, Jacobs Well. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
