Solar Panels Elimbah: local, honest, done right

Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Elimbah system around your roof, your shading and your bills.

A typical 6.6kW system in Elimbah makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Elimbah is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. We look after Elimbah and the surrounding suburbs of Caboolture, Moodlu and Bellmere, so a free on-site measure in 4516 is easy to book.

  • Plenty of Elimbah properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

About Elimbah

Before it had a proper name, this was The Six Mile, a camp where teamsters rested their horses and bullocks. When the North Coast railway came through in 1890, the stop was known by its distance, 36 miles 68 chains. Residents pushed for something better, and Elimbah became official in September 1902. The Kabi people knew the area as the place of the grey water snake.

This rural town covers about 100 square kilometres, with the Bruce Highway and the railway running side by side north to south. Three low peaks stand out: Round Mountain, The Saddleback and Tunbubudla, also called The Twins, at 296 metres. The state school dates from 1915 and the Soldiers Memorial Hall from 1922. Steve Irwin Way clips the north east corner.

How much does solar cost in Elimbah?

Most Elimbah homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Elimbah?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Elimbah?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Elimbah 4516 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Elimbah is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Caboolture, Moodlu, Bellmere, Caboolture South. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
