Going solar in Holmview

Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben.

Logan mixes established family suburbs, fast-growing estates like Yarrabilba and Park Ridge, and acreage around Jimboomba and Greenbank. Big households and big air conditioning loads make solar and batteries pay back quickly here.

Holmview is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

  • Newer homes in Holmview usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

Holmview: history and local area

The suburb takes its name from Holmview railway station on the Beenleigh line, which opened in 1885 and was in the timetables by 1886. Holmview was declared a locality on 1 May 1975. Beenleigh's cattle yards moved here in 1980, and the area was finally recognised as a suburb in February 2003.

Gardiner Road marks the western side and Wuraga Road the southern edge, with a short stretch of the Logan River along the north. The railway line and Logan River Road both cut across. Most homes sit on regular suburban lots, but there are still pockets of rural residential land, cropping and grazing. Lima Park on Holmview Road has play equipment and picnic spots. Primary students head to Edens Landing.

Standard suburban lots usually have a clear north or west roof plane, while rural residential blocks here may have space for a shed array to run pumps and outbuildings.
