Going solar in Loganholme
Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben.
Logan mixes established family suburbs, fast-growing estates like Yarrabilba and Park Ridge, and acreage around Jimboomba and Greenbank. Big households and big air conditioning loads make solar and batteries pay back quickly here.
Loganholme is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
- Low-lying pockets of Loganholme sit inside council flood mapping. Where it matters we mount inverters and batteries above the flood planning level and keep isolators easy to reach.

Loganholme: history and local area
A cotton gin built in 1867 was soon turned into a sugar mill, and Loganholme State School followed in 1873. People crossed to Beenleigh by ferry from the 1870s until a road crossing opened in July 1931. The bridge was duplicated in 1968 and rebuilt in 1999. The area belonged to the Shire of Tingalpa until 1949, and St Matthew's Catholic Primary opened in 1984.
The Pacific Motorway splits Loganholme in two, with the Logan River tracing the southern and western edges. East of the motorway are flood plains and a large commercial and industrial area. Logan Hyperdome sits beside the bus interchange and local retail strip. Tudor Park on Clarks Road has sports grounds, and riverside Alexander Clark Park suits big gatherings. The city's largest wastewater plant is also here.
Commercial and industrial buildings near the motorway have broad flat roofs and steady daytime loads, a strong match for solar, while homes near the river flats should plan battery placement around flooding.
