Going solar in South Brisbane
Inner Brisbane is full of character: Queenslanders, workers cottages and townhouses on small lots in places like Paddington, West End, New Farm and Bulimba, where neat installs and careful panel layout matter.
Brisbane covers everything from Queenslanders with tin roofs and tight inner-city lots to big brick homes in the southern and western suburbs. Every roof is different, which is why we measure and design each one on site.
South Brisbane is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

South Brisbane: history and local area
The name simply marked the south side of the river during the penal colony years. Land sales started in 1843 and wharves soon lined the bank. The Victoria Bridge arrived in 1874, a dry dock in 1881 and the southern railway terminus in 1884, sparking a building boom. South Brisbane was its own city from 1903 until 1925, and Expo 88 later transformed the old riverfront into parkland.
The river wraps around three sides, and seven bridges link across to the city just 1.6 km away. South Bank Parklands holds Streets Beach, the Wheel of Brisbane and the Nepalese Peace Pagoda, next to the Cultural Centre and the convention centre. Grey Street has boutiques and restaurants. Once full of warehouses and boarding houses, it is now a high density residential area with Mater Hill hospitals.
Most residents live in apartments, so solar here usually means shared rooftop systems decided by body corporates, where daytime common area loads like lifts and pumps can soak up generation well.
