Woody Point is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
- Being close to the water, Woody Point gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.

Woody Point: history and local area
Flinders landed on this peninsula in 1799 and named it for its red cliffs. The penal settlement chosen in 1823 brought colonists in 1824, though they moved up the Brisbane River the next year. The headland, also known as Ningeryoun, first appeared on an 1840s survey by James Charles Burnett. A jetty was built in 1888, and the area became a suburb in its own right in 1971.
Tucked into the south east corner of the peninsula, with Moreton Bay on one side and Bramble Bay on the other, Woody Point is small at 1.7 square kilometres. Its 240 metre jetty is the centrepiece, with seating and fishing spots. Three headlands, Woody Point, Picnic Point and Scotts Point, shape the shore, and the remains of HMQS Gayundah rest at Picnic Point. The heritage listed Memorial Hall is another landmark.
Homes on the headlands get full sun but also strong bay winds and salt spray, so tilt frames and fixings need to be rated for coastal exposure.
