Solar panels in Woody Point, installed properly
Tier 1 panels, proven inverters and a clean install from a team that answers the phone after the job is done.
Solar panels for Woody Point, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Woody Point homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Woody Point makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Woody Point is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
North Brisbane and Moreton Bay run from Albany Creek and Strathpine through North Lakes and Narangba to Caboolture and Bribie Island, taking in the Redcliffe Peninsula and acreage around Samford and Dayboro. From Woody Point to nearby Margate and Clontarf, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Being close to the water, Woody Point gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.

Getting to know Woody Point
Flinders landed on this peninsula in 1799 and named it for its red cliffs. The penal settlement chosen in 1823 brought colonists in 1824, though they moved up the Brisbane River the next year. The headland, also known as Ningeryoun, first appeared on an 1840s survey by James Charles Burnett. A jetty was built in 1888, and the area became a suburb in its own right in 1971.
Tucked into the south east corner of the peninsula, with Moreton Bay on one side and Bramble Bay on the other, Woody Point is small at 1.7 square kilometres. Its 240 metre jetty is the centrepiece, with seating and fishing spots. Three headlands, Woody Point, Picnic Point and Scotts Point, shape the shore, and the remains of HMQS Gayundah rest at Picnic Point. The heritage listed Memorial Hall is another landmark.

Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Woody Point?
Most Woody Point homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Woody Point?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Woody Point?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them. Near the coast we use stainless fixings and corrosion-resistant racking.
Do you service Woody Point 4019 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Woody Point is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Margate, Clontarf, Redcliffe, Kippa-Ring. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
