Redcliffe is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

  • Being close to the water, Redcliffe gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.

Redcliffe: history and local area

Matthew Flinders came ashore in July 1799 and called the place Red Cliff Point after the coloured cliffs nearby. In September 1824 Lieutenant Henry Miller set up a penal colony here with 14 soldiers and 29 convicts, but it moved to the Brisbane River within a year. The area later became a popular seaside resort in the 1880s, and the Hornibrook Bridge in 1935 opened the way for suburban growth.

Facing Moreton Bay on the peninsula's eastern shore, Redcliffe centres on its jetty, Suttons Beach and the Settlement Cove Lagoon. Redcliffe Parade is lined with restaurants, and the Sunday markets draw crowds. The Bee Gees walkway, botanic gardens and museum are local favourites. Kayo Stadium is home base for the Dolphins, and high rise apartments have been going up along the coast since the 2000s.

Redcliffe mixes older beachside houses with apartment towers, so options range from a standard rooftop array on a house to shared systems for strata buildings. Salt air off the bay calls for marine grade fixings.
