Solar panels in Albion, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Albion homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Albion quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Albion makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Albion is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's northside ranges from the grand old homes of Ascot, Hamilton and Clayfield to family suburbs like Aspley, Chermside and Bracken Ridge and the bayside villages of Sandgate and Shorncliffe. Our solar panels work in Albion also covers neighbouring Wooloowin, Windsor and Lutwyche, all within about 1km.
- Many Albion homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Albion: a local snapshot
John Petrie opened a quarry here in 1860, and its pale rock face reminded publican Thomas Hayseldon of England's white cliffs, so he called his pub the Albion Hotel. The name stuck. Estates went to auction through the 1880s, a Chinese temple was built on Higgs Street in 1885 to 1886, the Breakfast Creek Hotel opened in 1890 and Albion Park Racecourse followed in 1895.
Breakfast Creek forms the southern edge and Sandgate Road cuts straight through the middle, about five kilometres from the CBD. The heritage-listed Breakfast Creek Hotel is the best-known landmark, alongside Albion Park Paceway and Allan Border Field, home of Queensland Cricket. Housing runs from old workers' cottages to modern brick homes and unit blocks, with a busy train station on several lines.

Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Albion?
Most Albion homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Albion?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Albion?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Albion 4010 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Albion is part of our Brisbane Northside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Wooloowin, Windsor, Lutwyche, Bowen Hills. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
