Solar panels in Ashgrove, installed properly
Tier 1 panels, proven inverters and a clean install from a team that answers the phone after the job is done.
Solar panels for Ashgrove, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Ashgrove homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Ashgrove makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Ashgrove is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning. From Ashgrove to nearby Enoggera and Bardon, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Many Ashgrove homes are character Queenslanders and older workers cottages with corrugated iron roofs. Tin roofs are quick to mount on, and we keep conduit runs neat and out of sight on heritage-style facades.

Getting to know Ashgrove
Freehold land went on sale in 1856, and the area stayed largely farmland until late in the century. Ashgrove State School opened in January 1877. Trams arrived from Red Hill in 1924, and the house style the suburb is known for, the 1920s and 1930s Ashgrovian, spread with them. The line closed in 1968, and Dorrington and St Johns Wood joined Ashgrove in 1975.
Waterworks Road is the spine, with Ithaca and Enoggera creeks winding through leafy parkland and bike paths. About 13,450 people live here, 5.1 km by road from the CBD. Ashgrovian Queenslanders with pyramid roofs, gables and verandahs line many streets. Supermarkets, cafés and restaurants sit along the main road, and the suburb hosts several schools including Marist College and Mt St Michael's.

Solar panels in Ashgrove: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Ashgrove?
Most Ashgrove homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Ashgrove?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Ashgrove?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Ashgrove 4060 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Ashgrove is part of our Brisbane Westside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Enoggera, Bardon, Red Hill, Gaythorne. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
