Tier 1 panels, proven inverters and a clean install from a team that answers the phone after the job is done.
Solar panels for Bilinga, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Bilinga homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Bilinga makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Bilinga is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
The southern Gold Coast stretches from Coolangatta and the beaches of Palm Beach and Burleigh back to Robina, Mudgeeraba and the valleys of Currumbin and Tallebudgera, with everything from beachfront units to acreage. From Bilinga to nearby Coolangatta and Tweed Heads, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Being close to the water, Bilinga gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.

Getting to know Bilinga
Land near the NSW border was put up for selection in February 1908, and a rail siding opened in 1919. A general store near the siding helped the settlement grow, and a new coastal road later made it easier to reach. The name, adopted in 1918, comes from Bilinba, meaning bats. The surf club started in 1938 after a drowning the year before.
Most of Bilinga is taken up by Gold Coast Airport, which spills across the border into Tweed Heads West. The desalination plant sits in the north-west and Southern Cross University's Gold Coast campus in the south. The only housing is a narrow strip just back from the beach, which runs unbroken from Bilinga Beach to North Kirra. About 1,880 people lived here in 2021.

Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Bilinga?
Most Bilinga homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Bilinga?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Bilinga?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them. Near the coast we use stainless fixings and corrosion-resistant racking.
Do you service Bilinga 4225 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Bilinga is part of our Southern Gold Coast service area in the City of Gold Coast area, and we regularly work in Coolangatta, Tweed Heads, Kirra, Tugun. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
