Solar panels for Burpengary, planned around your home

Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Burpengary homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.

A typical 6.6kW system in Burpengary makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Burpengary is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Getting to know Burpengary

Timber cutters were the first Europeans to make a living here in the 1870s. The name comes from burpengar, an Aboriginal word for the place of the green wattle. A provisional school opened in November 1876 and became a state school in 1909. St Eugene College followed in 1989 and Burpengary State Secondary College in 2015. Traditionally a blue collar area, it has since drawn more families and professionals.

Burpengary Creek is the main waterway, and the suburb sits between the Bruce Highway and Oakey Flat Road. Locals have a train station, Burpengary Plaza and a library that was refreshed in 2016. The regional aquatic centre has a 50 metre pool, and the equestrian centre and AFL fields, once used by the Brisbane Lions for preseason games, add to a strong sporting side. Brisbane is around 39 km by road.

How much does solar cost in Burpengary?

Most Burpengary homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Burpengary?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Burpengary?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Burpengary 4505 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Burpengary is part of our North Brisbane & Moreton Bay service area in the City of Moreton Bay area, and we regularly work in Narangba, Burpengary East, Morayfield, Deception Bay. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
