Solar panels in Elanora, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Elanora homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Elanora quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Elanora makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Elanora is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
The southern Gold Coast stretches from Coolangatta and the beaches of Palm Beach and Burleigh back to Robina, Mudgeeraba and the valleys of Currumbin and Tallebudgera, with everything from beachfront units to acreage. Our solar panels work in Elanora also covers neighbouring Palm Beach, West Burleigh and Currumbin, all within about 3km.

Elanora: a local snapshot
Elanora got its name in 1922 as a station on the South Coast railway line, and the word is said to mean 'home by the sea'. A post office opened on 2 May 1927. Much of today's community infrastructure came later, with Elanora State School and the Uniting Church both starting in 1983, and the state high school opening on 29 January 1990.
Sitting between Tallebudgera Creek and Currumbin Creek, Elanora is bordered by the Pacific Motorway on its eastern side. Shopping is split between a neighbourhood centre on Nineteenth Avenue and The Pines on Guineas Creek Road, where the branch library has been since 2007. There is a state primary and a state high school, and more than 12,500 people lived here in 2021.

Solar panels in Elanora: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Elanora?
Most Elanora homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Elanora?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Elanora?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Elanora 4221 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Elanora is part of our Southern Gold Coast service area in the City of Gold Coast area, and we regularly work in Palm Beach, West Burleigh, Currumbin, Currumbin Waters. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
