Going solar in Elanora
The southern Gold Coast stretches from Coolangatta and the beaches of Palm Beach and Burleigh back to Robina, Mudgeeraba and the valleys of Currumbin and Tallebudgera, with everything from beachfront units to acreage.
Over half of Gold Coast houses already have rooftop solar, so a lot of our work here is batteries, upgrades and fixing tired systems, alongside new installs in growth areas like Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau.
Elanora is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Elanora: history and local area
Elanora got its name in 1922 as a station on the South Coast railway line, and the word is said to mean 'home by the sea'. A post office opened on 2 May 1927. Much of today's community infrastructure came later, with Elanora State School and the Uniting Church both starting in 1983, and the state high school opening on 29 January 1990.
Sitting between Tallebudgera Creek and Currumbin Creek, Elanora is bordered by the Pacific Motorway on its eastern side. Shopping is split between a neighbourhood centre on Nineteenth Avenue and The Pines on Guineas Creek Road, where the branch library has been since 2007. There is a state primary and a state high school, and more than 12,500 people lived here in 2021.
With two state schools in the suburb, many Elanora households are busiest before and after school, so sizing a battery to carry midday solar into the evening peak is often the key decision.
