Solar Panels Palm Beach: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Palm Beach system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Palm Beach makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Palm Beach is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
The southern Gold Coast stretches from Coolangatta and the beaches of Palm Beach and Burleigh back to Robina, Mudgeeraba and the valleys of Currumbin and Tallebudgera, with everything from beachfront units to acreage. We look after Palm Beach and the surrounding suburbs of Currumbin, Elanora and West Burleigh, so a free on-site measure in 4221 is easy to book.
- Being close to the water, Palm Beach gets salt-laden sea breezes. We use corrosion-resistant racking, stainless fixings and panels and inverters rated for coastal sites, and we design to the local wind loading.

About Palm Beach
The first church, a Baptist one on Ninth Avenue, opened in 1928, and the surf club was formed in 1930. Palm Beach-Currumbin State High School opened in 1972, with the primary school two years later. In 2019 a shoreline project added sand to the beach and built an artificial reef. The population grew from 14,654 in 2016 to 16,349 in 2021.
Palm Beach is boxed in by Tallebudgera Creek to the north, Currumbin Creek to the south, the motorway to the west and the sea to the east. Three surf clubs patrol the beach. Salk Oval, Mallawa Sports Complex and the aquatic centre cover sport, and the Gold Coast Highway strip between Eighth and Fourth Avenue is the place for shops and dining.

Solar panels in Palm Beach: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Palm Beach?
Most Palm Beach homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Palm Beach?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Palm Beach?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them. Near the coast we use stainless fixings and corrosion-resistant racking.
Do you service Palm Beach 4221 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Palm Beach is part of our Southern Gold Coast service area in the City of Gold Coast area, and we regularly work in Currumbin, Elanora, West Burleigh, Tugun. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
