Solar Panels Stafford: local, honest, done right
Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Stafford system around your roof, your shading and your bills.
A typical 6.6kW system in Stafford makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Stafford is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning. We look after Stafford and the surrounding suburbs of Grange, Alderley and Gordon Park, so a free on-site measure in 4053 is easy to book.

About Stafford
Locals once called this valley Happy Valley. A public push in 1885 and 1886 settled on Stafford, a nod to the English county of Staffordshire, and the state school opened its doors in May 1886. Electric trams reached the area in 1940 and ran until 1968, while the Housing Commission built many homes through the 1940s and 1950s. Gibson's Tannery shut in 1982, and Stafford City Shopping Centre arrived two years later.
Kedron Brook winds along the suburb's edge, and Sparkes Hill climbs to 96 metres in the south-west, crowned by a reservoir holding around 16% of Brisbane's water supply. Streets mix original Queenslanders with post-war Housing Commission homes on quarter-acre blocks. Stafford City has a food court and a 10-screen cinema, and Hickey Park is home ground for the Wilston Grange Australian Football Club.

Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Stafford?
Most Stafford homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Stafford?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Stafford?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Stafford 4053 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Stafford is part of our Brisbane Westside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Grange, Alderley, Gordon Park, Stafford Heights. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
