Solar panels for Mount Nathan, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Mount Nathan homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Mount Nathan makes about 28.4kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 43kWh. Mount Nathan is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
The central Gold Coast takes in the high-rise strip from Broadbeach to Main Beach, the canal homes of Bundall, Benowa and Isle of Capri, and family suburbs like Ashmore, Nerang and Carrara. From Mount Nathan to nearby Maudsland and Clagiraba, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Plenty of Mount Nathan properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Getting to know Mount Nathan
Records for Mount Nathan are thin, but one clear milestone came in 1997 when Silkwood Steiner School opened. The school has since grown into a Prep to Year 12 campus with 575 students counted in 2017. By the 2021 census, 1,375 people lived across the locality, which lies about 11.7 km north-west of Nerang in the hinterland.
Two state routes shape the area. Beaudesert Nerang Road, also signed as Mount Nathan Road, follows the eastern edge before cutting across towards the Scenic Rim, and the Nerang Murwillumbah Road runs along part of the south-east boundary. There are no government schools, so Silkwood is the main local institution, and Southport is roughly 20 km to the east.

Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Mount Nathan?
Most Mount Nathan homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Mount Nathan?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Mount Nathan?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Mount Nathan 4211 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Mount Nathan is part of our Central Gold Coast service area in the City of Gold Coast area, and we regularly work in Maudsland, Clagiraba, Guanaba, Pacific Pines. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
