Solar Panels Jimboomba: local, honest, done right

Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Jimboomba system around your roof, your shading and your bills.

A typical 6.6kW system in Jimboomba makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Jimboomba is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. We look after Jimboomba and the surrounding suburbs of Yarrabilba, Munruben and Chambers Flat, so a free on-site measure in 4280 is easy to book.

  • Plenty of Jimboomba properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

About Jimboomba

First spelled Gimboomba, the name comes from a Gugingin word meaning place of loud thunder and little rain. Jimboomba began as a grazing run leased from 1845, carrying sheep and later cattle. The Beaudesert line brought a station in 1888, since closed, and a provisional school followed around 1890. It joined Logan City in 2008, and in 2017 Glenlogan and Riverbend were split off, which is why the head count dropped sharply.

The Logan River forms the western edge, crossed only by Payne Bridge on Cusack Lane, and the Mount Lindesay Highway runs through town. Land is now almost all residential. There is a state primary, Emmaus College and Hills International College, plus a council library on Honora Street. Jimboomba falls within the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area, which is planned to take up to 150,000 more people over the coming decades.

How much does solar cost in Jimboomba?

Most Jimboomba homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Jimboomba?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Jimboomba?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Jimboomba 4280 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Jimboomba is part of our Logan service area in the Logan City Council area, and we regularly work in Yarrabilba, Munruben, Chambers Flat, Logan Village. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
