Solar Panels Yarrabilba: local, honest, done right

Solar is a 25-year decision, so the panels, inverter and installation quality matter far more than shaving a few hundred dollars off the quote. RS Energy is a family-run solar company and we design every Yarrabilba system around your roof, your shading and your bills.

A typical 6.6kW system in Yarrabilba makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Yarrabilba is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.

Logan blends established suburbs such as Springwood, Shailer Park and Browns Plains with new communities at Yarrabilba, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve, plus acreage through Jimboomba, Greenbank and Munruben. We look after Yarrabilba and the surrounding suburbs of Logan Village, Chambers Flat and Wolffdene, so a free on-site measure in 4207 is easy to book.

  • Newer homes in Yarrabilba usually have clean, unshaded roofs and modern switchboards, which keeps installs quick. Estate covenants rarely restrict solar, but we check before we quote.

About Yarrabilba

This is the land of the Wangerriburra clan of the Yugambeh language group, and Yarrabilba is said to mean place of song, a nod to two bora rings once used for ceremonies. A railway to Canungra crossed the area from 1915 to 1955, and during World War II much of it was taken up by the Camp Cable training base. In 2010 it was announced as a future city for up to 50,000 people, with building under way from 2011.

Yarrabilba is a master-planned community growing fast, from 3,580 residents in 2016 to 10,240 in 2021. It is split into ten neighbourhoods, among them The Avenues, Birnam Views, Sandstone Ridge and Wickham Rise. Darlington Parklands sits between Oak Leaf and Vista. Families have four schools on hand, including a state primary from 2018, a state secondary college from 2020 and two Catholic schools.

How much does solar cost in Yarrabilba?

Most Yarrabilba homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.

What size solar system do I need in Yarrabilba?

Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.

Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?

Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.

Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Yarrabilba?

Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.

Do you service Yarrabilba 4207 and nearby suburbs?

Yes. Yarrabilba is part of our Logan service area in the Logan City Council area, and we regularly work in Logan Village, Chambers Flat, Wolffdene, Jimboomba. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
