Solar panels in Jindalee, installed properly
A family solar company that measures your roof, explains the numbers and installs it right the first time.
Why Jindalee homes choose RS Energy for solar panels
Plenty of companies sell solar on price alone. We sell it on quality, because a system that is designed and installed well keeps paying you back for decades. Every Jindalee quote starts with a free measure of your roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Jindalee makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Jindalee is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning. Our solar panels work in Jindalee also covers neighbouring Mount Ommaney, Sinnamon Park and Kenmore, all within about 2km.

Jindalee: a local snapshot
Grazing and dairy cattle had the run of this land until well into the twentieth century. Farms from the Wolston Estate went to auction in October 1901, but the real change came in 1960 when the Hooker Centenary Project began carving out streets. The name is said to mean bare hills in an Aboriginal language. Jindalee State School opened in January 1966.
The Brisbane River runs along the northern edge, crossed by the Centenary Bridge and motorway. About 5,300 people live on 3.1 square kilometres, 15.2 km south-west of the city. Two large retail centres face each other across Sinnamon Road. West of the motorway it is mostly individual houses, while a newer townhouse estate sits to the east near the river, golf course and boat ramp.

Solar panels in Jindalee: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Jindalee?
Most Jindalee homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Jindalee?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Jindalee?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Jindalee 4074 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Jindalee is part of our Brisbane Westside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Mount Ommaney, Sinnamon Park, Kenmore, Middle Park. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
