Solar panels in Westlake, installed properly
Tier 1 panels, proven inverters and a clean install from a team that answers the phone after the job is done.
Solar panels for Westlake, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Westlake homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Westlake makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Westlake is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning. From Westlake to nearby Middle Park and Riverhills, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.

Getting to know Westlake
An artificial lake built by the developers gave Westlake its name. LJ Hooker's Centenary Project began shaping the area in 1959, on land that had included part of the Wolston Estate auctioned in 1901. The name became official in January 1973. The Westlake Waters section came in the early 1990s, and locals soon formed bushcare groups to protect the riverfront bushland.
Substantial houses line the riverside streets, many backing onto bushland that residents have fought to keep since the early 1990s. Close to 4,550 people live on 2.2 square kilometres, bordering Riverhills, Middle Park and Mount Ommaney. The lake is the defining feature. There are no schools inside the suburb, so students head to Middle Park, Jamboree Heights or Centenary State High in Jindalee.

Solar panels in Westlake: questions
Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Westlake?
Most Westlake homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Westlake?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Westlake?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Westlake 4074 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Westlake is part of our Brisbane Westside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Middle Park, Riverhills, Mount Ommaney, Pinjarra Hills. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
