Solar panels in Moggill, installed properly
Tier 1 panels, proven inverters and a clean install from a team that answers the phone after the job is done.
Solar panels for Moggill, planned around your home
Whether it is your first system or you are replacing an old one, we size solar for Moggill homes around real usage, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof.
A typical 6.6kW system in Moggill makes about 27.7kWh a day on average across the year, while a 10kW system makes about 42kWh. Moggill is on the Energex network. Most homes can export up to 5kW per phase on a standard connection, and newer dynamic connections allow more. We size your inverter to get the most from those limits and lodge the Energex application for you.
Brisbane's west takes in leafy riverside suburbs like Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Chapel Hill, the Centenary suburbs, and hillier, tree-lined streets around The Gap, Ashgrove and Ferny Grove where shading needs careful planning. From Moggill to nearby Bellbowrie and Anstead, we quote every job in person so the price you sign is the price you pay.
- Plenty of Moggill properties are on acreage, which opens up ground-mounted arrays, sheds and larger systems. Rural feeders also see more outages, so battery backup is popular here.

Getting to know Moggill
John Oxley came ashore near Priors Pocket in 1823, and paddle steamers were running to Ipswich by 1846. The name is thought to come from magil, a Yuggera word for water dragon. A township grew near today's school, which opened in 1866, a year after the cemetery. A blue metal quarry started in 1886, the area was split into three suburbs in 1973, and pineapple farms were subdivided after 2004.
Three sides of Moggill are wrapped by the Brisbane River, including Cockatoo and Redbank reaches, and the tolled cable ferry still carries cars across. Around 5,000 people live here, 22.3 km south-west of the CBD. Housing ranges from new estates on lots of about 700 square metres to acreage and a few working farms. Westaway Park and the ferry reserve are local green spaces.

Still unsure? Talk to us directly. You will speak with the people who do the work.
Call 0449 942 735How much does solar cost in Moggill?
Most Moggill homes pay between $4,800 and $7,000 for a quality 6.6kW system and $7,400 to $11,000 for 10kW, after the federal rebate. We give you a fixed price after a free on-site measure, so there are no surprises on install day.
What size solar system do I need in Moggill?
Look at your bill. Most families using 20 to 30kWh a day suit 6.6kW to 10kW. If you run pool pumps, ducted air or an EV, or plan to add a battery, 10kW to 13kW usually makes more sense. Energex export limits also shape the right inverter size.
Is solar still worth it with low feed-in tariffs?
Yes, if the system is sized for self-use. Every kWh you use from your panels saves you the full retail rate, which is far more than the few cents you get for exporting. Running dishwashers, pool pumps and hot water in the middle of the day makes a big difference, and a battery stretches it into the evening.
How long does installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We book the install once your network approval comes back, then arrange the meter change with your retailer.
Do you install solar on tile, tin and Klip-Lok roofs in Moggill?
Yes. We install on concrete and terracotta tiles, corrugated iron, Colorbond and Klip-Lok, with tilt frames where a flat roof needs them.
Do you service Moggill 4070 and nearby suburbs?
Yes. Moggill is part of our Brisbane Westside service area in the Brisbane City Council area, and we regularly work in Bellbowrie, Anstead, Riverhills, Westlake. Call 0449 942 735 or request a quote online and we will reply within 24 hours.
